Students and staff busking at Morrisons flushed with success
Categories: Press Releases
A lunch-time session on Tuesday 13 December was part of a fund-raising campaign to support those most in need. Music teacher, Jo Adlington said: “This was a great opportunity to get out into the local community to raise a smile and some money for those who are less fortunate. We had a great reception from shoppers and can’t thank Morrisons enough for the opportunity.”
Jo Adlington continued: “With the generous contribution of local people, we can now buy three sheep to provide milk and help fertilise crops - and also a complete toilet facility – it’s a simple thing but it’s literally a matter of life and death for people in the most deprived parts of the world.”
Oxfam Unwrapped provides a simple method of providing gifts to individuals in areas where people need them most. Where possible, gifts are sourced in the country they’re donated to – further details are online at www.oxfam.org.uk
