New College Telford Supports Wellington Town Council’s Annual Literary Festival

The Wellington Literary Festival Committee is delighted to present this month-long programme of events for October 2009.
Thirteen years ago Wellington Town Council formed a working group of literary minded people who initiated the first week of literary events headed by Simon Brett the crime writer. The guiding principals for the Festival were as follows:
· To promote a wider range of literature to all ages
· To encourage local and budding authors/playwrights/poets by providing a platform for their work
· To be accessible for all
· To work in partnership with all sections of the community
At New College Telford, there are numerous events being held:

Wednesday 7 October, 7pm – Clare Mulley
Friday 9 October, 7pm – Richard Bifield ‘A Brief History of Coalbrookdale’
Thursday 22 October, 7pm – Bruce Kent on ‘Time to abolish war’
Tuesday 27 October, 7pm – Allan Frost
Wednesday 28 October, 7pm – Wellington Civic Society and History Group
Thursday 29 October, 7pm – Tony Stringfellow and Rob Cairns are 2WILD MINDS
