Following on from their tremendously successful exhibition at the Oakengates Theatre, Telford, New College art students roll out the red carpet treatment again for their guests with an exhibition of their complete works, Show Red.
The A Level final show dates are from 4th- 10th June 2009
The Art work consists of a collection of 2D pieces that include painting, collage, printmaking, stencils, photography and other mixed media. Fashion and Textiles covers illustrations to finished garments and accessories.
The National Diploma Design Crafts, Year 1 & 2, showing from 17th- 26th June 2009
Here you will find a variety of art and design areas including drawing, metalwork, jewellery, woodwork, plastics, ceramics through to photography.
‘This years art show is a reflection of a common ethos and principles developed by the art staff, of what art education should be and do, based on enabling students to develop their individual ideas and practice.
The art and design team are pleased to report that many of this years A Level students are progressing on to Higher Educational courses at Foundation and Degree Level in Graphics, Animation, Fashion and Textiles, 3D, Product Design and Fine art and fulfilling their high aspirations, we wish them well in their creative careers’. The opening times will be from 10:00am - 3:00pm daily.
There will also be a special Preview Evening on Thursday 4th June 6:00pm - 8:00pm for the A Level show and Wednesday 17th June 2009 6:00pm - 8:00pm for the National Diploma Design Crafts.
Guests are invited to help celebrate the high standards of achievement reached by all students, this year and toast their future success.
