Dressed to impress

Students, Tom Duffin, Adam Clark, Kris Turner, James Fraser and Stuart Mills dress up to raise cash for charity.
As you can see from the photos the boys spent the week as brides, drag queens, hairy fairies, characters from the Rocky Horror show and pirates and ninjas to raise funds from Cerebral Palsy Sports.
The final amount raised was £360 - big congratulations to Tom and his pirates!
Tom came up with the idea because he suffers from cerebral palsy himself and he wanted to give something back.
He swims in a team for cerebral palsy and said over the past few years, coping with the condition had become harder.
He said “I have found it more difficult to cope over the last few years. I have to miss lessons and I have found things pretty hard. I have really good friends around me though and it shows what good friends they are to dress up with me like this.
We put our heads together and decided that dressing up would be a good way to raise money and people would notice us so we could raise awareness. We decided to go for embarrassing outfits and we have got laughs, shocked people and even made a few scream!”
The group has been walking around the college and Wellington dressed in their various guises and has so far raised £150, but the total is going up.
Anyone who wants to sponsor the group can do so by calling the college.
