They learned about empathy and how you need to walk in someone else's shoes to truly understand what life can be like for people who are dependent on others.

The students were truly inspired by their visit and have had long discussions about learning and physical difficulties.

Sarah Jones, headteacher at The Willow Tree centre, guided the students around and took time out of her day to explain the different activities they offer their students to help them become more independent.

The photos are of students experiencing being blind, deaf and as a wheelchair user.

Tracy Leah, student manager for health and social care, added: “We give our students the skills and experiences for their future careers, this activity really highlighted what it's like working in a high-needs establishment.”
