Maths and Vocational Studies Teacher

The Post

Transition and work experience co-ordinator

The Post

The Transition & Work Experience Co-ordinator will be part of a pro-active enthusiastic team helping to promote student achievements and to be responsible for the robust planning and execution of High Needs students' smooth transition into and out of Telford College.

The post holder will be involved in the writing of appropriate EHCP outcomes depending on students' individual needs. They will attend students' annual meetings prior to them starting at Telford College through to when they leave and will be important participants in helping students and families plan for the future. The responsibility of arranging high quality work experience, focusing on students' individual interests and aspirations will also be part of this role.

IT Manager

The role:

This is a pivotal role to lead on and develop the proposed merger of IT systems between Telford College of Arts & Technology and New College Telford. Leading a team of technical staff you will deliver a complete technical support service to the Colleges to ensure resources are managed efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our users.

The role is to plan, direct and coordinate the design, installation and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the College's IT systems. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, storage, security and other electronic infrastructure.

Lecturer in Construction (part time)

Lecturer in Construction (full time)

Main duties and responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to:

Undertake teaching duties within established Course Teams and be able to offer subjects in a range of Construction trades disciplines, including plumbing. These may be both classroom and workshop based and may include Full-Time, Part-Time learners from 14 upwards.

? To deliver an annual teaching load in accordance with the Telford College contract. This will not normally exceed 850 hours per annum. These duties may include general teaching, tutorials, student assessment, curriculum development counselling, preparing materials and assignments, marking work and examinations, educational guidance, supervision of student visit programmes, marketing, administration and personal and professional development.

The Role

A key role is to work to the delivery schedules and scheme of work that have been agreed by the Business Programme Manager and to deliver exactly what is agreed at project commencement, ensuring that that high quality is maintained, informing the Business Programme Manager and the relevant Quality, Progress and Business Generation staff of the progress of the contracts, including any delivery issues or potential deviations from the scheme of work and delivery plan.

BANK OF TEACHING STAFF

The College is looking to add to their in-house bank of temporary teaching staff to provide cover at short notice for instances such as sickness absence, vacancies etc. to support our experienced teaching staff for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Whether you are an NQT or experienced teacher, we are looking for supply teachers who can cover teaching needs across the curriculum areas within the College; Communication and Science, Business and Maths, Social Sciences, Health & GCSE Newstart, Vocational Studies (BTEC) and HE.

There is no guarantee of a set number of hours being available; the hours of work will vary depending on the short or long term requirements. However, due to the nature of the work the ability to offer a flexible approach to availability is essential as you will be requested to work at short notice.

A scheme of work is in place within each curriculum area, however, depending on the length of the cover required you will be required to undertake some planning, marking and preparation for the classes you are responsible for teaching.

Successful candidates must hold a teaching qualification.
