The Post
The purpose of the post is to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task. Cover Supervisors will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.

Teacher of Fine Art

The purpose of this role is to deliver outstanding A level and AS Fine Art provision to a wide range of full-time learners, through an exceptional student experience leading to positive achievement outcomes. Undertake a range of administrative and development duties that contributes to improving standards and achievements and the learner experience. Liaise with Exams officer and Head of Curriculum Area to prepare for Moderation for A Level Fine Art and the relating administration for this.

Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that the needs of students with SEN are met through provision of direct support; Co-ordination of support from within and without the college; provision of support to classroom teachers. The post holder's objective is to ensure that these students make good or outstanding progress and ensure that the College is compliant with all legislative requirements.

The College is looking to add to their in-house bank of temporary teaching staff to provide cover at short notice for instances such as sickness absence, vacancies etc. to support our experienced teaching staff for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Whether you are an NQT or experienced teacher, we are looking for supply teachers who can cover teaching needs across the curriculum areas within the College; Communication and Science, Business and Maths, Social Sciences, Health & GCSE Newstart, Vocational Studies (BTEC) and HE.

There is no guarantee of a set number of hours being available; the hours of work will vary depending on the short or long term requirements. However, due to the nature of the work the ability to offer a flexible approach to availability is essential as you will be requested to work at short notice.

A scheme of work is in place within each curriculum area, however, depending on the length of the cover required you will be required to undertake some planning, marking and preparation for the classes you are responsible for teaching.

Successful candidates must hold a teaching qualification.
